CORPORATE BUILDING CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

The CDCL Board during the 33rd Board meeting held on December 29, 2015 endorsed the construction and budget of corporate office building at Yangchenphu above hotel River View. Subsequently, during the 34th Board meeting held on March 8, 2016, the Board directed the management to proceed with the construction as planned. It was also instructed to convert the attic into full floor and look at making the parking at the basement. Further, during the 48th Board meeting held on November 14, 2016, the construction of Corporate Office building was discussed and approved under any other matters. In October 25, 2016, the Thimphu Thromde approved the revised drawings in terms of facade and space optimization, which was necessitatedas a result of DHI-INFRA’s amalgamation and growth of the company. On November 17, 2016, the construction of the corporate office building was presented to DHI management which was also attended by the CDCL Chairman and Board Directors. The following directives and decision was provided: Approved the Project to be constructed at Yangchenphu located above Hotel Riverview, including its designs and drawings. Approved the provisions for appropriate heating system, including engaging experts but ensuring strict supervision in installation works to maintain cost at reasonable level. Ensure quality even at a higher cost and set benchmark in construction quality through its office construction. The ground level space on southern side meant for parking should be freed in order to provide a space for daycare center. Make budgetary provision for internal finishing, workstations, etc. Make investment plan and present it to DHI for approval so that loan or financing issues are clear. Tie-up with firms or agencies employing graduates of technical institutes to avail labor and services while MoLHR and CDCL could provide required supports. Ensure adequate parking space. 2.1The Scope & of the Project The scope of the work includes the following: a) Carrying out the construction work in time, quality and within its budget b) Study and recommend the building materials especially finishing materials, electrical materials, lift (elevator), roof materials, etc. c) Construct the RCC works as per the Standard Specification and Achieved its required Concrete strength. d) Timely submit project status report (Monthly)to PIC and PMC. 2.2Project Duration and Timeline The duration of the project will be for 30 months from the start of the project. The construction commences from January 01, 2017.
